About The Art doc

I believe art is not something you “get good at” before you’re allowed to enjoy, it’s something you grow into through creating, learning, and sharing with others.

I’m an artist, educator, and lifelong creative who has spent years helping people of all ages discover their voice through art. My own work focuses on botanicals, printmaking, and hand-crafted books, but what truly inspires me is watching others experience that moment when creativity begins to feel possible.

For over a decade, I taught visual art, photography, and graphic design in schools and community programs across Arizona. Along the way, I earned a BFA, an MA, and a PhD in Art Education, but the heart of my work has always been simple, to make art feel welcoming, meaningful, and accessible.

The Art Doc was created as a place where you don’t just observe art, you make, learn, and share in a supportive, creative community.
